    • ½ cup breadcrumbs

    • Salt and pepper to taste

    • Grated parmesan cheese
    • Thinly sliced fresh basil
    • Olive oil

Instructions:

Step 1: Sauté Vegetables

  1. Heat olive oil in a large, heavy-based saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion, capsicum, and minced garlic.
  3. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until sizzling. Cover the pan and reduce heat to medium-low.
  4. Cook for 5–8 minutes until the onion softens and becomes translucent.

Step 2: Build the Base

  1. Pour in the wine to deglaze the pan, scraping the bottom to release any stuck bits.
  2. Allow the wine to reduce slightly.
  3. Stir in paprika and tomato paste, cooking for 2 minutes.
